Here at Mj's Budding Brains Daycare, we strive to provide a warm and nurturing environment for our young children to feel safe and happy while they each in their own unique way reach their developmental milestones. We offer a variety of Montessori based way of teaching through hands on play in order to develop their emotional physical and behavioral skills. There is an introduction to music and spanish through reading and play.
We are a Licensed and Dss approved daycare catering to our neighborhood children in Freeport and surrounding areas. This program is operated by myself and my husband together we have over twenty years of childcare experience working with many different families. And we will use this experience to help ensure that we create a loving, nuturing safe environment for our children and their families that is a home away from home.

By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.
Our Story
MJ'S BUDDING BRAINS DAYCARE adheres to a Faith based, Montessori approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Day Care, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
Programs
Our programs are designed to meet the needs of both children and families through specific goals and objectives. We focus on building off of the strengths of each child, taking advantage of every teachable moment.
Art Lessons
Our Art Lessons are a fun and exciting experience, where the children get to create whatever comes to mind, exploring the different colors and textures while developing all their fine motor skills dexterity in the hands and fingers, while learning the elements of art: Line, Value, color, space, shape, form and texture.
Imaginative Play
Your child will use their imagination in a creative manner where they can soar above the stars to become whatever superhero their heart desires, by using their growing thinking skills to pretend play. It supports the development of creativity and intellectual development.
Outdoor Play
Our outdoor Play will be time spent at a beautiful park where we can explore nature feel the grass under our feet, meet and play and explore with new friends. Long walks on a beautiful day soaking up that beautiful sun. smelling all the beautiful flowers as they begin to bloom.
Music and Spanish
Your children will learn the basics of Spanish, their colors numbers and shapes. Music with a Cello will be a part of our daily curriculum as children learn best through music
